What this site collects

This site collects nothing about you until you decide to send something. There are no accounts, no logins and nothing to sign up for.

There are two forms, and each one collects only what you type into it.

  • The contact form on the home page. Your name, your email address and your message.
  • The consulting intake form. Your name, your email address, the checkboxes you tick about where you are in starting your business, the checkboxes about what you have already acquired (a web address, an email address, a logo), the entity type you are leaning toward, and anything you write in the comments box.

On the intake form, only your name and email address are required. Every checkbox and the comments box are optional — answer what you want and skip the rest.

How it is delivered

Both forms are handled by Formspree, a third-party form service based in the United States. When you submit a form, your browser sends what you typed to Formspree, and Formspree delivers it to Don by email.

Two things follow from that, and you should know both. Formspree can read what you send, because it handles the content in order to deliver it. And Formspree may keep its own copy, under its own policies and the settings on Don's account.

The email arrives in a mailbox hosted by Google (Gmail), keypingbizzee@gmail.com, and stays there until it is deleted. This site itself stores nothing — there is no database behind it, no server-side code and no record of your submission kept on the site.

If you would rather not use a form at all, email keypingbizzee@gmail.com directly. It reaches the same mailbox without Formspree in between.

Third-party services that receive a request when you browse

Simply opening a page here is not invisible, and it would be wrong to suggest otherwise. Three services are involved:

  • Cloudflare Pages hosts and serves these pages, so it receives the ordinary technical details of your request — your IP address, which page you asked for and which browser you used. It is not part of the form path; nothing you submit through a form passes through it.
  • Google supplies the fonts the pages use. When a page loads, your browser asks Google for the font stylesheet, so Google receives that request and your IP address.
  • Formspree receives only what you submit through a form, and only at the moment you submit it.

Anti-spam

The forms use standard anti-spam measures, and Formspree filters spam on its own servers.

What this site does not do

  • No cookies, and nothing stored in your browser. No cookies are set when you visit this site. Nothing is kept in your browser either — no local storage, no session storage. This site uses no analytics, advertising or tracking technology.
  • No accounts, no logins, no payments. Nothing here asks you to register, and no payment is taken on this site. The book is sold by Amazon, and consulting is arranged by email after you get in touch.
  • No selling of your information. What you send is not sold, rented or passed to anyone for marketing. It goes where it needs to go to reach Don, and no further.
  • No profiles. Your submission is read as a message from a person, not added to a marketing list or used to build a profile of you.

What not to send

Please leave sensitive details out of both forms. That means Social Security numbers, EINs, bank account or payment details, and anything similar. None of it is needed to start a conversation, and these forms are not a secure channel for it. The intake form asks the same thing in plain sight, just above its comments box.

Messages sent through these forms are not confidential or privileged. Treat them the way you would treat a first email to someone you have not met yet.

Outbound links

Some links on this site lead somewhere else — most often to Amazon, where the book is sold. Once you follow one, you are on that company's site, under its privacy policy and its terms, not this one. A link is not an endorsement.

Retention and your choices

You choose what to send, and you can ask for it to be removed. Email keypingbizzee@gmail.com and ask for your message to be deleted from the mailbox, and it will be.

Here is the honest limit of that. Deleting the email from the mailbox does not reach into Formspree's own records. Any copy Formspree holds is governed by Formspree's policies and the settings on Don's account, not by this page. If that matters to you, email Don directly instead of using a form.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and Don does not knowingly collect information from them. Please do not submit a child's information through either form. If you believe a child has sent something through this site, email keypingbizzee@gmail.com and it will be deleted.

Changes

This page will change when the site changes — a new form, a different service, a new way of reaching Don. When it does, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page changes with it. The version on this page is the current one.
